** spoiler alert ** It was pretty entertaining, but the ending kinda was just blah. I mean, it was a "happy" ending, I suppose, but I didn't find it very satisfying for how the rest of the book went. I actually agree with the "dorky" friends she ended up making - it was pretty selfish to assume she wouldn't miss the dorkier people of the school. It gets a third star just for the humor of the book, but the actual plotline only would get two.
oh darn it... now i will have to buy yet another series - my local and not so local libaries aren't that well stocked... well, at least it's finite and only three books. (compared to the promised 14 or so in the sookie stackhouse series.) i enjoyed it, "the summoning" was well written with a host of good ideas, a believable cast of characters and lots of suspension.
It's silly, and that's me. I am silly. Funny as hell though. First of a three part series. They made a movie out of this one not too long ago, if you plan to see the movie, you HAVE to read the book otherwise you'll be lost and you will not appreciate an otherwise pretty good adaptation. The movie actually has mos def co-starring!
