I liked this one much better than Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, which I liked quite a bit, for its creativity and lyricism, its dry humor and stark portrayal of pain ... but which left me feeling preached at and excluded just as much as the misfit daughter of Evangelicals felt in that novel. This one left me speechless before the sheer power of Winterson's language. She takes magical realism a step beyond its own real magic.

I'm not a big fan of the books, but I found the artwork to be beautiful. This is definitely an abridged version of the book (with pictures, of course). This would be a good read for Twilight fans and/or those wanting a brief look at this vampire series.

waaay overrated, in my humble opinion. i just didn't get it.
