Criminal psychologist meets his most unusual subject yet and is fascinated by her. I liked the ending.
I read this for a book club and was glad I did--it probably wouldn't be a book I normally would notice. The author does a fantastic job of recreating a story set during the Salem witch trials and life of the people during this time. A book that will tug at your heart strings and make you wonder how this could have happened. The author is a direct descendant of Martha Carrier, one of the women who refused to admit to being a witch, who was eventually hung.
