I can't remember where I read about this book but decided to read it from hearing good reviews. I felt like an emotional rollercoaster reading this book, and debated whether to give it 3 stars or 4. Although some of the writing annoyed me, I felt I must give it 4 stars with the impression it left on me. I loved the characters in the book and the way the author developed them and their relationships. While reading the book I kept trying to guess what Sophie's Choice was supposed to be, and boy was I in for a shock when I found out. It was so heartbreaking to read and couldn't imagine anybody having to make that kind of decision! Overall, very glad I read this book and would recommend it to others.

I know lots of people like this, but not one of my favorites. I DO like the classics, but I tend to like the more romantic, fluffier stuff. (Jane Austen anyone?)
