Full of detail, it is a careful telling of times, events and talent of an immensely private person. One can tell it is the product of a dissertation. A valuable resource.

This book was decent. I enjoy reading historical fiction, although I found that the writing in this book was rather unengaging. I didn't find myself emotionally invested in any of the characters. On a whole, I wouldn't recommend it.
