It seems like cheating to say I read it but there is no category for abandonment. I really tried with this one but after 70 pages, I just wasn't interested. I didn't care about the alligator wrestlers and their white-trash life.

While I have never cared for historical novels. This one was excellent. I could not put it down. It would be interesting to see either a DeMarco or a Vernaducci in one of her Carpathian novels! Very good book, highly recommend even to those who don't appreciate the historal.
