This book is three stories in one and they all tie together in small ways without being the same story. I liked that each story was short because I didn't really want to get into a long drawn out tale of the same things over anc over. The last story touched me because it was one you don't normally see in a Amish book. It dealt with physical abuse of a child and how those scars never heal. We tend to put the Amish on a petal stool we want them to be better, they are religous but still people all the same. This story show's how two friends make it past a dark family secret to find love and happiness in one another.
The second book didn't disapoint! Great pace to the story, liking Mac more as she evolves and I appreciate how only a bit about Jericho Barrons is revealed each time. Beginning to speculate on what he is, but can't be sure. I am completely hooked!
