This book was well done, the writing stuck out to me as above par. A lot of books get away with having a great story or idea and just average writing and I'm fine with that. But this book was about a changeling (a changeling, really?) and I didn't expect to love the story. Still, each word was so carefully chosen making each sentence a blend of expression and brevity I couldn't help but love the result. It reminded me of short story writing, where you have to convey so much with so little. Also it was off the charts cool, no brooding vampires or whiny heroines, instead there was crow bar fighting and redemptive sisterly love. However, watch out for some language and a moderate amount of steam.
