Being well aware of the mystique surrounding the unicorn tapestries, I delved into this work with a surfeit of enthusiasm. Given the bawdiness of the plot, the comical nature of the main protagonist (the ironically named des Innocents) and the sheer wealth of atmosphere, I can honestly say I was not disappointed. If one takes the book instead as more of a sex farce with threads (pun intended) of artistic sensibility thrown in, rather than a straight historical novel, the reader will not be let down. Enjoy!

A million STARS!! This book has left me breathless and stunned by its beautiful story. Cassandra Clare never stops amazing me with her creative way of writing and with her awesome characters. Only Cassandra Clare's books have such deep characters. Every sentence brings the characters more real, making it feel like you actually know them. Yeah, I know this is supposed to be a review for Clockwork Princess, but I don't think I can stop talking about all the books! :) In all of Cassandra Clare's books, each character is given a life that is illustrated with such intense words. These words bring them to life! The Clockwork Princess showed this quite clearly. This characteristic is what made me fall in love with the first book I read by Cassandra Clare, City of Bones. I also love the way all the books are tied together, making the worlds in both the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices real. I also love how all the events in each chapter have a reason. Every event has some significance in the story. Okay, I can go on and on about how much I love all these books but let me describe my reaction to the Clockwork Princess. The ending was absolutely outstanding! I don't think any other ending could have made me feel satisfied. All the characters were brought to life and had a significant role on every page. I loved this book! (Though I love all of the Shadowhunter's books :D) Thank you Cassandra Clare for inventing such a magnificent series that touches everyone's heart!
