Pretty good, quick read for pre-teens/teens. Publ. by Shadow Mountain, so it is pretty clean- free from bad language, etc. Very much a good versus evil book with lots of morals thrown in. If you liked Leven Thumps or Fablehaven- this one is similar.

This is one of my favorite children's books. We bought it for Ainsley on a trip to the Keys and each of our children love to read it over and over.

La vita nell’isola di Nantucket scorre tranquilla per la popolazione. Tutti si conoscono e non ci sono mai veri sconvolgimenti, a parte l’ondata di turisti durante i mesi estivi. Per questo il trasferimento della famiglia Delos, originari di Boston, poi emigrati in Spagna e ora di ritorno in Massachussets, a Nantucket, diventa subito il pettegolezzo preferito dalla popolazione. Dopo solo pochi giorni tutti ne parlano e Helen si sente irritata. Non sopporta di sentir parlare di questi Delos. E’ come se il nome continuasse a girarle in testa, come per ricordarle qualcosa, ma non c’è nulla. Ohh this is another great story from Amy Knupp. It follows THE BOY NEXT DOOR but can be read alone.

Coriel is an illigitimate daughter of a noble family and as a result she spends part of her year at Castle Auburn and the other part with her grandmother. I honestly can't remember much more about the story, as Shinn has settled for so formulaic a fantasy tale it fades from my memory.
