like Three Cups of Tea, Father Joe sees education as the relief and salvation of the poorest of the poor. Like Mountains beyond Mountains, Father Joe is dealing with AIDs and TB. He has spent the last 35 years living in the slums of Bangkok, serving all the children in the surrounding slums by offering them free preschool, food, and further education, hope for life outside of the sex industry. He also cares for children with AIDs and TB which most recieved from their parents before they were born. Most of their parents have died, or are caught in the sex/drug trade. He cares for them and gives them a loving place to find dignity, peace and childhood for their short 12 to 14 years of life. Amazing insight into what is important in life.
