Through Anna Deveare Smith's new play, Let Me Down Easy, which is about the body, illness and the American health care system, I came to know of Sally Jenkins (sportswriter for, among other things, The Washington Post). I thought the her character in Smith's play rocked. Anyway, I looked up Jenkins and found that she was the co-author of this book. It was a totally great guilty pleasure. An afternoon on the couch. Okay, perhaps some of Armstrong's affirmations about doping have been recently found to be a little dubious, but do I really care about doping at the Tour de France? Really? Not at all. I'd dope, too, if I could ride like that!
