It would have been better had I not seen Children of Men.

Honestly, I felt a little dirty after reading this book. It deliciously dished out all of the celebrity chef fodder. And I'll never quite think of Chez Panisse the same way... It is a cross between a serious book on food and a tawdry romance novel. Normally, that wouldn't really work for me, but it was a fun read taken in that context. It was not the treatise on food that I was expecting, but I still really enjoyed it.
