It was interesting, dark, funny and surprising. In short, epic. I was completely fooled by George a few times and I still don't know how to feel about a few characters. Theon Greyjoy is such a little shit! I want Robb Stark to kick his traitor ass into next week but at the same time I don't. Argh! This book reminded me of what it feels like to love reading fantasy. It's been too long. I liked Game of Thrones too but back then I didn't like the characters as much as I like them now. Well, perhaps "like" isn't the right word. The characters are intriguing. I am curious, I want to know what happens. I can't put the book down. The only reason I didn't give the book five stars was because of the amount of rape. I'm pretty sure someone was raped in every other chapter. These guys are evil, the winter is coming, it's war... yeah, I know. That doesn't mean I want to read about rape in every other sentence.

Very easy summer read and keeps you guessing.
