This is like In Cold Blood for kids. I mean, it's fiction, but it centers around a true event. I enjoyed this. I don't remember the specifics, but I liked Mattie. This deals with some pretty mature stuff, but I'd recommend it to 8th and 9th graders who won't get silly.
