As I read this book I was glad that it moved a lot faster than the first one. There was one part for me that was kindof slower so I skimmed a few chapters. My one critique of these books would be the endings. When I read Harry Potter or Fablehaven, I loved it because I felt like the book had an ending, but still left you wondering what would happen in the next book. These books, Tunnels and Deeper, make me feel like they just ran out of ideas so they ended it there, in a random spot. I like a little bit of finality in the end, even if it is a sequel. I did like the amazing detail given to the underground world. I sometimes would have to stop and do something else because I could imagine the complete blackness and being 5 miles under ground. Spoiler Alert: I did get tired of people dying and then coming back around. It seemed to happen a little too much for me. I mean, if you get shot in the head with a rifle, I think you are pretty much a goner right :) One last thing, I think the men who wrote the book (their picture is in the back) look like what I would picture Will and Chester looking like, only older.

A compendium which includes Night People, Arise and Walk and Baby Cat Face - all the books are roughly the same but still dead entertaining. Basically consists of all these weird Southern characters getting either bumped of or prevailing. Pretty funny too, which I never say about books.

This anthology of short stories includes famous authors and nobel-laureates that are contributing their talents for the fight against AIDS. There are several profound stories and it's nice to know that all efforts in creating/selling this book go towards a good cause.
