At last, the Sojourn series breaks out of it's formulaic mold. This entry is notable for its rather random--but still exciting--events. From the desert to the ocean to an island of dangerously beautiful women, The Sorcerer's Tale flings our heroes far and wide. I particularly enjoyed the depth added to Bohr's character, but the out-of-the-blue introduction of Pallias and Dodona was jarring. Also, the heretofore dazzling artwork takes a bizarre and unwelcome downgrade between chapters 5 and 6. Hopefully it will be back to form for volume 6.
