a feat! a slightly boring and predicable feat, but a feat none the less

I traveled to Marrakesh in Morocco at the end of February (2007) and to prepare I read this book among others. Canetti is gentile and sophisticated. The book got off to a slow start but by page 30 or 40, I couldn't put it down. It paints a picture of Marrakesh in the 1970's or 1980's that no picture book could have done. I loved the read. The only problem is that the Marrakesh of today is quite different!
