This was a great read- you get a good glimpse of the history of Henry XII's court along with a scandalous story! Phillipa Gregory really does her homework...

the ending is completely lame... but it's just such an intrigueing consept for a book that i can't help liking it. wouldn't read it again tho. i think the 2nd in the series is my favorite of the 3. don't waste your time getting into this series because it kinda disappoints.
