Not really the book to read right before you leave for Egypt. This book, and its movie (which I want to see), made a big stir in Egypt becuase of the honest and dramatic (some say overly so) portrayal of problems in Egyptian society. For me, I'm just glad I'm not a lower class Egyptian girl. Or in the Muslim Brotherhood.
