** spoiler alert ** I found myself, as I got closer to the end of Breaking Dawn, reading slower and slower - trying to prolong the experience. What an entertaining series this was. Breaking Dawn was quite different than the previous three, much less relationship driven. It dealt more with external factors - the wedding, the pregnancy and birth, Bella's "change", etc. On the plus side, the story moved quickly, never getting bogged down as I felt that New Moon did at times. I enjoyed the fast pace, the many changes affecting Bella, the introduction of new characters (loved Garrett!), and the 'happily-ever-after' ending. On the minus side, while the showdown with the Volturi was plenty suspenseful, I thought it a surprising choice to keep it as peaceful as it was. I kept anticipating a huge final fight scene that never came. Also disappointing was Charlie's ask-no-questions/tell-me-nothing attitude regarding Bella's 'quarantine', the physical changes in her and the appearance of Renesmee. I found that wholly unbelievable and a big misstep of the part of Meyer. Overall, Breaking Dawn was an exciting end to an un-put-downable series. I *thoroughly* enjoyed it!
