Lesbian assassin comic book series that's delicious and heartbreaking at the same time...it rocks!

I gradually warmed to this book. I found the first section titled "Combray" to be very slow going - but there were enough small rewards sprinkled along the way to keep me interested. The second section, "Swann in Love" is where this volume really takes off. It's a completely riveting account of a doomed love affair. Once I got into that, I was hooked; so hooked that I went out and bought volume 2 of In Search of Lost Time. I've never encountered a writer who handles language quite like Proust. There is a sort of music to his style of writing - I could almost hear it in my mind as I read. These are long melodic passages. Once I became acclimated to it, I didn't want the book to end. Thankfully, there are many more pages of Proust's just waiting to be read.
