I liked The Recess Queen and I like this one too. The illustrations are great Laura Huliska-Beith puts in some great details that just enhance the story even more. She will be at the Plaza Library on April 17th! She is a Kansas City favorite!

I enjoyed this book. Its light hearted, comical...I like Emma very much. However, the build up to Jack's "secret" was a complete let down. and the ending was mediocre. I was expecting a big dramatic end in classic Emma style.
