I have a hard time reviewing this one. It was well written and the characters were engaging. Daniel is the main force of the story and we see everything with his "coloring" of the story. His grief and confusion over Jason's death feel real to me as a reader. My problem was I just couldn't connect to any character but Daniel. I also thought the detail of some of the descriptions may have been a little heavy. It bogged me down and broke me from the "stream" of the story. I loved the mystery though. Daniel's reemergence from his relationship and grief to try to find his way to being his own person was a wonderful detail of the story. I quite enjoy this read overall.

I may have been confused by many of the illogical assumptions by Trina O'Dell's family that are made in this book, but it was an interesting diversion from the story of the first two, and I liked it.
