I actually really liked this book. It was really different in writing style from what I usually read and that's probably why it took longer than usual (i hope) for me. It's definitely slow at times and the short, snippet style makes it all too easy to read what is essentially 3/4 of a page and then put the book down again. It was really towards the end that I got deep into the story. Reading the last 100 pages i truly began to understand the reasoning behind putting the passages in the jumbled up order and I think it's brilliant. Have to admit that I got a little teary towards the end. All in all, I think it's a very rich story with lots of depth and emotion. Worth reading.

I should start off by saying that Sarah Desson is one of my favorite young adult authors. She has a good grasp on teenagers and the various complications that come their way. However, to me, this book wasn't as great as the rest. Her books typically follow the same guidelines: a teenage girl with some dilemma, moves/ventures to a new place, meets a boy who helps her find herself and solve her problem, falls in love with the guy. This book followed the outline, but it wasn't as emotional as I wanted. Maybe I just don't connect with it as well as her previous stuff?
