This isn't actually the book I read but the book I read is not on goodreads oddly enough. Any road, the book in question is Collected Poems by Harold Munro. May be out of print as I had to order this through a second hand shop. A brilliant poet who so deserves not be left off goodreads. Wry humour and nerve-touching insights into the modern human condition. The poems touching on anomie rival Eliot.

This was a fun book to read. It's written from the point of view of a 12 yo boy, and has lots of drawings and "maps". It's also set in a part of Montana that we drive through frequently on our way to and from Missoula, Idaho, and Canada. The ending got a little weird.
