I really enjoyed When A Crocodile Eats the Sun much more for the simple reason that you get to know the people you are reading about much more thoroughly. With The Fear, Godwin is doing more cataloging of the abuses of Mugabe's regime; he's standing as a witness so we don't get to know the legion of the abused as well. It's still an interesting read that leaves you asking yourself repeatedly why world leaders have not stopped the mercenary travesty of Mugabe's reign.

Wow. I can't put this book down. Amazing!
