Jean Plaidy is an author that I wish I liked better, as she's written a ton of historical novels on many different periods. But I can't get into her books and I'm not sure why that is. This book was no different. Sweeping saga about a family. The characters seemed a bit trite and I knew that the story would end neatly wrapped up. Not very thrilling or surprising.
