I listened to this on CD and found it absolutely hilarious. I loved the way Jasper Fforde took the nursery rhymes and made them into real people: Detective Inspector Jack Spratt investigating the murder of Humpty Dumpty - who'd gone from teaching at Baliol Oxford to being involved in some shady deals......And Jack Spratt had had a hard time trying to prosecute the 3 little pigs for their pre-meditatated murder of the wolf. And it all takes place in current day Reading (a suburb of London)
