I read this in one day. Victorian ghost story, though set mostly in the mid- to late-1900s. Doesn't get ghoulish till the end--at which point even my sweet cat jumping onto the bed with an affectionate coo made me jump and shriek.
I thought this one was slightly better than the previous book. I still have the same complaints though. The reason this book seemed slightly better were the reference to the wolverine and the marathon within two pages of each other!
