This is the second Dan Brown book I've read, after the obvious one - 'The Da Vinci Code'. Despite a lot of people slacking him off for this and his other books I thoroughly enjoyed it. As with the Da Vinci Code this book was highly researched and I enjoy learning a lot of other facts, may it be about Rome or the Vatican or symbolism. Of course half of it is made up but this is a fictional book. His writings remind me of the author Johannes Mario Simmel whose books usually centre around espionage and special secret agents. He caused a lot of controversial because his material is also so well researched and sounds so plausible that a lot of people actually believed what he was writing, forgetting that they were reading a fictional story. For me he always has the perfect last sentence to a chapter so that you want to read on immediately. I'd recommend this for an easy read, to relax with.

I loved this book. I was never a big book reader until this book. Now I look back on what an idiot I was thinking that was big and missing all these great books!!!

This novel was wonderfully written, yet lacked the feeling of completion as the initial mystery that led into the novel went to the wayside while the present murder took over and was lackluster in follow through.
