I enjoyed this book. It was good to finally get a better perspective on that big book I still haven't read - the bible. Christopher Moore did a great job of making me laugh out loud on multiple occasions and really, the concept of what was Jesus up to during his teenage years is highly underused. I'd like to believe that Christianity is based in Jesus's adventures in the Near East and Far East learning about Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam. Wouldn't that be great? There's got to be a reason there are so many similar tenets in all of those religions besides the commonality of the human experience. Or if there's not, at least I can think it's true for a few days as I slogged through this book. It is dense and for a fast reader sometimes that got in the way.
