A quick, good read, great for those going through breakups. Nora Ephron exacted her revenge on her cheating husband (Carl Bernstein) by writing a very funny book about how he left her when she was 7 months pregnant. Lots of humor interspersed with sadness; the end in particular is sad, though she claims it is happy.

This is the second in the series A Song of Ice and Fire, and I think it's hands-down the best. (The general consensus is that book three is the best, but I think this is much better). All the carefully planted character building and plot developments of Game of Thrones bear fruit here, and the result is a really excellent novel, maybe one of the top 5 epic fantasy books ever. Many of the most best arcs of the entire series are here, including Tyrion's turn as Hand, Jon Snow's adventures at north of the Wall, and Arya's struggles in the Riverlands, which represents the apex of the series for me so far This is probably the best fantasy book written by someone not named Tolkien. If good stories are at all interesting to you, read this book.
