As much as people get tired of me saying this -- I do, truly, love this series. I'm rereading it again so I can get caught up and know what the hell is going on in City Of Fallen Angels. This book leaves me disappointed but I have a little taste of satisfaction. Alec almost grew some balls, the Inquisitor got what she deserved, Magnus saves the day, Luke is awesome with everything he does, and so on. Now it killed me because I can't remember how Jace and Clary aren't technically related or if they even can be together (It's been so long since I've read these books) but everytime I saw a scene similar to this: Valentine: "You're mother said I had already turned one of her children into a monster, she didn't want you turning into one because of me either." Clary: "I'm not a monster and neither is Jace." Valentine: "I wasn't talking about --" BOOM, SIMON AND JACE WALK IN AND LEAVE ME WONDERING WHAT VALENTINE WAS *REALLY* TALKING ABOUT. What, Valentine? Do you have a different son? I was so lost. A scene similar to this happened with the Inquisitor before she bit the dust. Anyways, bottom line is, when I reread City Of Glass, I better see some smooching with Jace and Clary and I also need some smooching with Simon and Maia. PUUUUHLEEEEZ?! I'm not even sure if there was anything I didn't like about the book that stood out to me. The battle scene gave me tinglies up my spine and shivered my timbers. Valentine always makes me wanna cry and I was quite fond of the Queen of Seelie Court. Pointless review. :D End. Of. Rant.
