Probably hands down the worst book I have ever read. I struggled every day to just pick up this book. BORING! I enjoyed his other books, but this one lacked a strong story line and strong characters. Confusing at times too. Do not read this this book!

I couldn't picture Hoover Boyle any other way than Helena Bonham Carter in Fight Club. This was a really cool concept for a story. I read it a while ago so I'm really skimpy with the details but I remember it getting a little outlandish at the end.

This really was an amazing book for me. I had previously tried to read The Screwtape Letters a few times but it can never hold my interest. Mere Christianity is a collection of "talks" C.S. Lewis gave over the radio, so for me it was much easier to follow. I lost interest again in the last section when I started having some doctrinal disagreements over things like his idea of the trinity, but I would say that 3/4 of this book was very insightful and broadened my understanding of my own religious beliefs.
