Damn this is some great erotica. I want to start over from the beginning again; in fact, I did. I flove Ricky and Jack in this well-written story. This one is going in my top ten.

I can understand why this graphic novel is held in such high regard, its really complex and beautifully drawn. I have to admit though i just didn't get it... I was bored in the middle, the twists in the plot didn't shock or surprise me because investing in the characters was impossible. I am not a graphic novel reader so I am not the expert opinion to follow by any means but i have to admit i felt like i was reading a overblown storyboard for a film. I am actually looking forward to seeing a hopefully simplified version on screen which is a pretty surprising statement for someone who almost always prefers the book to the film... Please excuse my ignorance, perhaps repeated readings makes the plot line and character developments clearer but i won't be reading it again.

I'm so embarassed to admit that I've never read this book. It's on my really, really long mental list.
