You know you read an amazing book when after a week you still keep thinking about certain moments or feelings you experienced while reading it. Rothfuss has created both a world and characters that I want to be a part of and meet in person. The depth of the main character is as deep of a character as I've read and I know we've just scratched the surface. The decision on how to unfold the story is fantastic and the writing quality is a pleasure on the mind to read. I can see why both him and Sanderson are sweeping the fantasy world like a storm.
This Christian novel of adventure and survival features vivid characters and thoughtful explorations of faith.
Second book left me wanting more...can't wait to read the sequel.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I guess this delivers exactly what the title says it will: an almost painfully detailed history of the Ripper slayings and every socio-economic, political and historic tidbit that can be even vaguely appended to them. The author provides a history of London's East End back to the Early Medieval era, contending that that piece of geography had always had a troubled history.I was hoping for some sort of new or alternate theories but none were forthcoming.
