I enjoyed this novel every bit as much as the first in the trilogy but for different reasons. Part of this may be personal taste as I've always been a sucker for a post-apocalytic story, but I also believe that Nick Sagan has improved his story telling skills from his first novel to his third.
In one word: a genius masterpiece.
I didn't get it but I'm giving it three for the benefit of the doubt that when someone explains it to me I will appreciate it more.
I enjoyed this little trip to the past with Lawrence Block. It wasn't Bernie, but the burglar had a lot of his style. The resolution of the story was nice and, given when it was first written, innovative. Hitchcock and Rod Serling would have both been pleased.
