A hefty task, reading this novel. The ramblings of Tristram Shandy are incredably amusing when one takes the time to read it attentively. This is no holiday read. But with a firm grasp of the English language, a unique and unmatched wit and an incredibly modern focus on the nature of identity, experience and story telling itself, puts Lawrence Sterne next to Shakespeare and Cervante as an author who helped found modern literature.
Another enjoyable read by Laura Childs.
1088 pages?! O.o This is almost too scary to read.
