I wish this book had more plot and less angst from Kaye. I used to like Cornwell's books because of the interesting forensic information. This one had a lot of techno stuff, boring.

One of the few times where I read the book after the movie. Even though the movie was drastically different than the book, I thought it still stayed true to the spirit of the book. John Berendt writes an amazing narrative of kooky characters, that are not characters at all, but real people. This is definitely one of those books where the "truth is stranger than fiction" platitude holds firm.
