Ugh. I slogged through this book hoping the end would be worth it. It wasn't. The dialogue was uninteresting and stilted. The plot showed promise early on, but fizzled somewhere about halfway through. This is my first Le Carre and I won't be reading another.

I have rarely read anything by Karen Armstrong that did not give me added depth to any topic she has covered.
