I thought this was a really great book. It took a while to get used to the view of a 4 year old but after a while I got used to it. I like happy endings too!

Olfactory treats, from start to finish. You'd never read another book quite as delicious. One hardly realises it's possible to write so much about smells, but Suskind's capable of describing them to excruciating detail. And because you imagine it and never really smell anything, the book really takes you places. It transcends. You register as words, these smells, which begin really, as pictures in your mind. Quite, quite, satisfying.
