This book was amazing. I loved the hisory, I loved the characters, especially Sarah and Julie. I recommend this book to anyone who likes historical fiction. I want to learn more about this chapter in French history. It reminds me of America's mistakes, irrational beliefs, such as slavery, the inernmen of the Japanese (do we talke about that in history classes very often?). Often civilized counries do something so uncivilized, so hateful, so shameful, that they would rather forget it. It should not be forgotten.
