Tom Wolfe is a dear and I'd love to talk to him for hours, but this book is a little over the top. I'm absorbed in the plot and Wolfe's writing, but it's not one that I'd want to read again. Charlotte is just too holy and self-absorbed.

I didn't love this book but I thought the ideas were very intriguing but the 'story' didn't seem complete. From the Publisher Aldous Huxley's tour de force Brave New World is a darkly satiric vision of a 'utopian' future - where humans are genetically bred and pharmaceutically anesthesized to passively serve a ruling order. A powerful work of speculative fiction that has enthralled and terrified readers for generations, it remains remarkably relevant to this day as both a warning to be heeded as we head into tomorrow and as thought-provoking, satisfying entertainment.

Not my favorite Divakaruni book, but I liked it. I learned a lot about Indian/Hindi mythology. This was certainly a worthwhile read with rich descriptions and vivid characterizations.
