Though important, the first half of the book is painful to read as we learn about the rape of a young woman, the ways of our justice system and the agony of wrongful imprisonment. The second half is incredibly moving and uplifting, and certainly this is an important message for the ban of the death penalty. Our chances of wrongful death are too great.
