Couldn't get through it. And I rarely abandon a book.

My other favorite in the series, with Goblet of Fire. Azkaban possesses an urgency not present in the previous books, and a clarity that begins to erode in the latter installments. It's also truly chilling in places-- more like a transposed fairy tale (you know, our first horror movies) than the more kid-friendly mystery stories of books one and two.
