It's soooo long! I had a hard time getting into it but once I was about 200 pages in, I really wanted to find out what happens. It's a nice story. But you can tell that the author was previously a romance writer. The romantic parts were kinda sappy. There is a couple featured in the last third of the book who are supposed to be in their late 20s/early 30s in 1985 and their "romance" is filled with calling each other darling -- after spending 12 hours together. Yeah, that's realistic.

Very cool and engaging story. Well written and with a twist at the end.
