I like this book because it offers a real, yet non-racist reason why some cultures/societies came to dominate others. I feel like lots of people make pandering, non-explanations about colonialism in the 1500s that seem to rely on the belief that Europeans were evil and that oral traditions and close family ties are better really. This author doesn't do that, but he also doesn't suggest that Europeans are biologically better/more fit - he explains the differences by looking at geography/differences in available plants and animals in different parts of the world.

I loved this book and was really glad it kept up with the hype the first book created. I can't even imagine what living in a World like this would be like. The President is scum and I'm truly in love with Gale... HAHA!

I love this book!!! It is like basic social stuies dictionary. A student can open the book on any letter of the alphabet and find the important facts. For example, "A" stands for America's Birthday, "F' for freedom, and "H" for heros. It provides a lot of examples and simple explanations. I think it can be very useful in the classroom.
