Doctorow continuously writes books that are more his ideas for an interesting future than they are actual stories, so why are they so entertaining? This one is a quick read - I got through half of it sitting around at the RMV.

I love Ann Patchett so I love this book.

I did it as my first read aloud this year. It was a fast read and an enjoyable story. I probably won't read it again though.
