Okay novella especially written as a fund-raising title.

This is the first book of short fiction that I can ever remember reading. As someone who has written a ton of short stories, that fact strikes me as odd. But that's really neither here nor there. This was a good read, I'm up to date on my long-from Dresden and I liked this cause it filled in some gaps and gave me some insight into some of the secondary and tertiary characters. The last story takes place right after Changes and is both sad as hell as well as inspiring that Dresden's compatriots would pick up the torch after he is gone.

** spoiler alert ** I am now half-way through the book and still feel the same way. This is definitely a good vampire/para-romance novel. Someone described this book as a cross between Twighlight and the DaVinci Code and I have to agree with them. Diana is a witch/professor who meets Matthew Clairmont during her summer stay at Oxford University. One day, while doing reasearch in the library, she comes upon a book that is more than just a book. This book contains the secrets of how witches, vampires, and daemons came to be in the world. It is essentially Darwin's version of how super-natural creatures came to be a part of the human world. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this book continues to be enjoyable, believable, and romantic through the end.
